Today Mark - The News Room Chief and Joe - Our Official Graphic Artist tried out a brand new restaurant in Riverside, Zoes Kitchen (1661 Margaret St.). It is located at 1661 Riverside Avenue right across from the Publix and Starbucks.
Both Mark and Joe had the Mediterranean Tuna Pita and they agreed that it was pretty darn good. With the pitas they got their choice of 1 side item, a bag of chips, and a drink for just over $8.00. Sounds like a great deal. Click Here for more information on the Riverside location. (Phone, Fax, etc.).

No offense but you guys are too milk toast to review restaurants objectively. It weakens your compliments when given so freely. Be objective or choose someone more discriminating to write the reviews.
Food is bland. Less than average quality. Once was enough.
Agreed. Your reviews are like watching MSNBC and thinking that someone might report the news rather than put themselves over.
First, let me say that I love the Jax Confidential guys, and I think they're a great resource to have around. So thumbs-up! Also, this isn't a 'complaint' per se...so don't take it negatively.
But with that said, yeah, some of the recent restaurant reviews have really left me scratching my head as well. I mean, come on, Koja Sushi, Bungalow on Park, Casa Marina, and Preservation Chop House were/are some of the absolute worst restaurants ever, yet all of them got outstanding reviews.
I think it might be time for a "scorecard" that adds up numerical values in different categories, like "attitude", and "time from seated until first server visit", "time from order until food arrives", "food quality vs. price", etc.
Then you guys can mark this stuff down as it happens, and tally up the score later. This might assist the whole thing in being more objective, so that the reviews aren't just based on everyone's general impressions, since your impressions are likely to be abnormally positive because the restaurant will probably know who you are and will be doing their best to kiss your azz.
I don't think it's your fault, but lately a lot of restaurants that are really just awful have slipped through with great reviews.
