We ventured out to the beach yesterday for a fantastic brunch at Casa Marina (691 1st St N) - buffet style and a couple of free mimosa's. Almost all of the offerings were great (except for the Crab Legs, though less expensive...they should really use Alaskan Snow Crab instead of the Dungeness). The buffet included the usual breakfast items such as bacon, sausage, grits, biscuits and gravy, shredded home fries, fresh fruit, etc. There was also poached salmon, shrimp, quite a few pasta salads and a flurry of desserts. The price was the same as River City Brewing Company but the food was tremendous in comparison. Also, the service was pretty good sans a few empty coffee cups. Check it out one day!

we got married there, the place is fabulous!
To be fair, we went there a few Sundays ago and we DID look like a million bucks (no baseball caps, correct posture, shirts and slacks like normal grown-ups) and we STILL got treated poorly - terrible service, chaotic and slow. It took approx 90 minutes to get orange juice and we never did get coffee.
The food pretty good by buffet standards - flaccid bacon and mounds of eggs in a steam tray, also a good selection of steam tray seafood dishes that were quite tasty once we got access past the shuffling morbidly obese (oops, big-boned) people that flock to food troughs.
