From The Editor: We arrive at Paula's eatery and it was effin PACKED!!! Luckily we don't mind sitting at the bar to eat, so we were shown to the elevator and whisked up to the (i think) 3rd floor. We sat, and the overly gracious bartender took our drink orders (teas and sodas cause we were all nursing hangovers) and ushered us to the buffet. YES...BUFFET! It was awesome, everything you could possibly want....Fried Chicken, Meatloaf, Beef Tips, Mashed Potatoes, Black-eyed Peas, and just about any other "southern home-cooked" dish you can think of. There is also a menu you can order from with Crab Cakes and the like...but why? The Lady and Sons is worth the almost 2 hour drive to Savannah. While you're there be sure to walk around and check out all of the historic buildings and the well-manicured parks. It really is a great day/weekend trip! You guys know I took pics....here you go.(Sunday December 23rd) My Southeast travels this Christmas brought me to historic Savannah, Ga. where I picked up my brother and sister-in-law on the way to see our family in Atlanta. About 20 minutes outside of Savannah my lil bro called and asked if I wanted to eat at Paula Deen's restaurant The Lady and Sons, and i replied...."Hell Yeah!".

Try her brother's restaurant too, called Uncle Bubba's. It's where they tape "Paula's Party" on Food Network. Don't miss their smoked/BBQ oysters there. It's waterfront and they even served Paula's Fried Chicken there. It's not in downtown but the locals will get you there!
"the food will be awesome."
"Y'all like lots 'o butter, don't y'all!!!???
"And don't forget to buy lots of my great Paula Deen stuff at fine retailers like Big Lots and Walmart*."
Add another name to the long list of people who USED to be interesting.
