There was a workshop today in St. Augustine at the County Auditorium at 9:00am. The County Commissioners were present at a forum for local voices to be heard about the issues concerning the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. Phil McDaniel (President of the Cultural Council) is heading up a campaign to HALT all activity and signing of the Signature Entertainment contract, concerning professional management of the venue, because he feels that the people have no say in the process. For every month that the newly renovated Amphitheatre is not managed and booked efficiently, tax payers lose approximately $35,000.00. We are currently waiting to hear what developed at the workshop and will let you know as soon as the news comes in.
