2006 was the year of Madonna. Her shimmering, smash-hit discotheque album Confessions On A Dance Floor reached Number 1 WORLDWIDE and in May she kick-started the greatest live show of her career – The Confessions World Tour.
Now, the triumphant show is released as a special-edition CD/DVD. Containing 21 tracks, the DVD was filmed at London's Wembley Arena on Madonna's birthday, August 16th, during the last performance of her remarkable eight-night residency there.
Directed by longtime Madonna collaborator Jamie King with Stuart Price as Musical Director, the Confessions Tour – which included 34 sold-out dates in America, 22 in Europe and 4 in Japan – also boasts costume design by Arianne Phillips and Jean Paul Gaultier, who are long-standing members of Madonna's creative team.
