This just in from News4Jax: Okay...I think we've had about enough of this increasingly frequent trend of JSO Officers driving drunk, so we propose a resolution......require that ALL JSO OFFICERS have a Car Ignition Interlock Breathalyzer much like This One installed in both their patrol vehicles and personal vehicles. Whos with us?!?!?!?!?"Patrol Sgt. Charles Harold Ford was arrested Sunday night, and subsequently suspended, after his truck collided with another vehicle. According to an arrest report, Ford was trying to make a U-turn when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
There were no injuries.
Investigators said Ford's breath smelled of alcohol and his speech was slurred. The report said he refused to perform sobriety tests on the scene and was charged with driving under the influence and making an improper U-turn."
