Bum Wine - The Hunt

We began our hunt last night for a local purveyor of all 5 of the Bum Wines that we mentioned yesterday -

1. Cisco
2. MD 20/20
3. Night Train
4. Thunderbird
5. Wild Irish Rose

We stopped at the Normans Food Store on King Street (across from Park Place) and were quite disappointed when we only found 2 of the 5 required spirits, Wild Irish Rose & MD 20/20. The hunt continues for a local store that we can submit to BumWine.com so Jacksonville can be represented on their "Where To Buy" link.

In related news....we hear that the Normans on Park Street was robbed last night. This would be the second time in 2 weeks....here's a story from Jacksonville.com from 7-29-07:

"A pair of robbers shot a convenience store clerk in the elbow Friday during a failed holdup attempt in Riverside, Jacksonville police reported.

The robbers had shirts over their faces when they walked into Norman's Food Store at 2725 Post St. and began struggling with the clerk about 4:45 p.m. Friday, according to a police report. The clerk told police one of the men tried to pull him across the counter and then fired two shots.

After the gunfire, the robbers ran outside, where the clerk followed and fired one shot into the air with his own gun, the police report said."
