Well, it seems as though Entertainment Weekly - Canada erroneously reported that Madonna and Justin Timberlake will be performing at the MTV VMA's.

Justin Timberlake informed Access Hollywood that it was all just a rumor.

Of course, we are still hoping that Justin is just trying to throw us all off the scent and won't be surprised if the duet does, in fact, occur on September 9th.
