We are re-posting this blog from a few weeks ago because we found it rather pertinent to National Talk Like A Pirate Day". We LOVE the idea and wonder if this could also work for Jacksonville? Of course, we don't really have any connection to the sailors of the Caribbean but wouldn't it be fun to walk through downtown and gawk at the pan-handling pirates? We vote YAY!Mayoral candidate Sloan Bashinsky in Key West has a proposal for "cleaning up the homeless". He asserts that Key West should exploit its connection to the infamous sailors of the Caribbean by dressing up its city workers or the homeless as pirates.
