Goings On At The Ghettro

Looks like someone was having too good of a time Saturday night at The Metro (Ghettro). According to this article from the Times Union:

"Matthew R. Morris, 22, of the 6200 block of South Barnes Road was charged with felony battery, simple battery and resisting arrest, the report said. Sheriff's Office records show that Morris remains in jail this morning.

The incident occurred about 12:05 a.m. Sunday at The Metro nightclub, 2929 Plum St.

The report said that Morris was made to leave the bar because he was being disorderly inside. Once outside, he attempted to fight other patrons and employees, the report said. At one point, security guard Michael Hastings was bitten in the finger, leaving behind a deep puncture wound.

When police arrived, they found several people attempting to hold Morris on the ground. The report said he broke free and began punching David Ashford in the face. A police officer fired his Taser at Morris after he refused to stop, the report said. He then fell to the ground and was handcuffed."

We've got some calls out and are waiting for a little more information on the incident.
