Staff member Joe(y) was in Tampa this weekend and came across this new beer concoction - Beer with Clamato called a "Chelada". We have heard of the recent trend of mixing beer with Tomato juice but this may be going just a little too far. Has anyone seen this locally?

Mixing beer with tomato juice or clamato isn't a new or recent trend. I've done it for years and people have been doing it for generations. That being said, I've never seen it sold already mixed in a can. Now that's just crazy. Like buying those pre-mixed cocktails in a can... it can't be good.
It's not good. I bought a set of these at a Publix about a month ago. As the saying goes, 'Curiousity killed the cat'. I had never heard of beer and tomato juice being mixed, but I would not suggest it after tasting these beautifully packaged concoctions.
