Funny Games

We just found out about this and we are totally stoked! One of the most twisted, sick, disturbing films we have ever seen, Funny Games (Germany), is being remade for the U.S. audience. The Editor actually owns the original subtitled movie, but claims to have only watched it once due to the graphic nature of the film.

This is our favorite review of the film from IMDB:

"What more can one say about this movie? Devoid of humour, hope, and happiness and it still manages to draw you in. It's not the sort of film that you'd recommend to a friend, unless, of course, he is in to torture, sadism and all the other 'isms' that make you a less than desirable person.

The rewind scene, a certain death scene (which lasts for an excruciating six or seven minutes), and the final boat scene stand out in a film that you are likely to never forget. After watching it, I wished that I hadn't. It disgusted and made me feel physcially sick in parts, particularly a part that showed a simple punch in the stomach. The acting of the victims often gets overlooked by their torturers. The mother gets my nod. Her screams are harrowing and human and you really will forget that you are watching a film. This is not Hollywood. It's the complete opposite. You have been warned."

And Here's the new poster for the remake.......
