Florida has a new state song, as of last week. "Florida (Where the Sawgrass Meets the Sky)" was written by Jan Hinton, a music teacher at Pinecrest School in Fort Lauderdale. The winner was announced Friday at the Florida Music Educators' Association convention in Tampa.
