Art with a Heart Theft

We just got this from the good people over at MOCA and are please to repost for them:

" A vehicle of an employee of Art With A Heart was broken into last night.

What was stolen?

Artwork? Yes.

My artwork? No.

Instead, they stole CHILDREN'S ART!

HOSPITALIZED CHILDREN'S art that was property of Art With A Heart for Children. The children who made this artwork were patients at Wolfson Children's Hospital. These kids were sick, injured, terminally ill, or possibly even deceased. They made the work to hang in our community, to commemorate lives, celebrate triumphs, and help build awareness about an experience that brought them joy and hope during tough times.

This artwork is priceless. It has been reported, is being investigated, and is considered "grand theft".

They were taken from Orange Park, FL. Each piece was in a black frame with white mat board, was labeled with a small plaque that said "Art with a Heart for Children Masterpiece" which included the child's first name and age.

If anyone has any information about where these pieces have gone, or has seen them anywhere (in a dumpster?), please contact me."

You can also contact us if you know the whereabouts of these precious items, we will be happy to pass along any information and you can remain anonymous.
