  • HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH

A transexual punk rock girl from East Berlin tours the US with her rock band as she tells her life story and follows the ex-boyfriend/bandmate who stole her songs. A modern Rocky Horror, this timeless rock opera was an off-broadway smash before making its way to the big screen.

  • HEAVY METAL IN BAGHDAD

Heavy Metal in Baghdad is a feature film documentary that follows the Iraqi heavy metal band Acrassicauda from the fall of Saddam Hussein in 2003 to the present day. Playing heavy metal in a Muslim country has always been a difficult (if not impossible) proposition but after Saddam’s regime was toppled, there was a brief moment for the band in which real freedom seemed possible. That hope was quickly dashed as their country fell into a bloody insurgency. From 2003-2006, Iraq disintegrated around them while Acrassicauda struggled to stay together and stay alive, always refusing to let their heavy metal dreams die. Their story echoes the unspoken hopes of an entire generation of young Iraqis.

June 20th and 21st

  • CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST

A New York anthropologist travels to the wild, inhospitable jungles of South America to find out what happened to a documentary film crew that disappeared two months before while filming a documentary about primitive cannibal tribes deep in the rain forest.

  • BLADE RUNNER the Directors Cut

In a cyberpunk vision of the future, man has developed the technology to create replicants, human clones used to serve in the colonies outside Earth but with fixed lifespans. In Los Angeles, 2019, Deckard is a Blade Runner, a cop who specialises in terminating replicants. Originally in retirement, he is forced to re-enter the force when six replicants escape from an offworld colony to Earth.

July 4th and 5th

  • GREMLINS

Traveling inventor and salesman Rand Peltzer buys an unusual Christmas present for his bank employee son Billy: a strange, never-before-seen animal called a "Mogwai", whom Rand christens "Gizmo". There are three EXTREMELY important rules to follow in order to take proper care of "Gizmo": don't expose him to light, don't expose him to water, and above all else, never feed him after midnight. As you might expect, rule two is broken soon enough, and "Gizmo" spawns a quintet of new Mogwai. THEN rule three is broken (unknowingly) and the new Mogwai metamorphose into little green devils called "Gremlins" that proceed to tear the little town of Kingston Falls apart.
