Another event filled weekend is upon us, here are a few things you might be interested in attending....- 45th Annual Fernandina Shrimp Festival - All weekend with tons of crafts, activities, food, boat tours, invasion of the pirates, and fireworks. We will probably take a trip up there on Sunday.
- 48-hour Film Festival - Kicks off tonight at the Jacksonville Landing. Filmmakers from all over the Jacksonville area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world for the title "Best 48 Hour Film of 2008". Paticipants drop off their completed film by 7:30PM on Sunday and the screenings will occur on Tuesday, May 6th and Wednesday, May 7th (ticketed event).
- Cinco de Mayo at the Town Center - Tomorrow, Saturday May 3rd, the St. John's Town Center will be having a day long fiesta with live bands, Latin dancing, face painters and festive food and drinks to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. It all starts at noon and goes until 10PM.
- Midget Macs Mijitsu Launch Party - Tomorrow night Midget Mac (from VH1's I Love New York and the upcoming I Love Money) will be at FCCJ South Campus hosting a "Celebrity All Star Basketball Game" with an after party at the Stadium Club. Midget Macs posse will be handing out free shirts and other prizes. Woot Woot!
