Banned Books Week

This week, September 27th through October 4th, is Banned Books Week which

"...celebrates the freedom to choose or the freedom to express one’s opinion even if that opinion might be considered unorthodox or unpopular and stresses the importance of ensuring the availability of those unorthodox or unpopular viewpoints to all who wish to read them. After all, intellectual freedom can exist only where these two essential conditions are met...."

and there are lots of ways to get involved and voice your opinion about such freedoms. The number one way is to go out and get yourself a copy of one of the books on the list of The 10 Most Frequently Challenged Books and Authors of 2007 from the American Library Association and read it, ingest it, savor it.

There are also MySpace and FaceBook pages and if you think you're smart enough to make a perfect score on a quiz about banned books, then Click Here.
