The Mental Health America of Northeast Florida is a non-profit service organization that improves the mental health of the people of Northeast Florida and eliminates discrimination against those with mental illness through information, education and advocacy.
Last night staff members Joe(y) and Robyn attended the 07-08 Mental Health America's Annual Meeting where staff member Julio Martinez (pictured along with Susan Byrne Lee, MHA's President & CEO) gave his exit speech as Board Chair and passed the gavel along to Ann Teague (not shown).
Over the past year Julio's mission was to raise awareness of the organization and its presence in Jacksonville. As part of this new program, Julio was able to partner the organization with a local artist to promote MHA through artwork which can be seen during the monthly ArtWalk events.
Great job Julio!

Thank you for the shout out. MHA is doing a great job for this community, working on eliminating stigma, preventing suicide and making certain folks realize their mental health is just as important as their physical health.
