Weekend Planner

There's so much stuff going on this weekend, we don't know where to start. We'll try the beginning....

Tomorrow morning, Saturday, November 15th, is the 29th Annual Native Sun Mandarin Run 10K in Mandarin Park. The race starts at 8 a.m., followed by a one-mile fun run for kids at 9:30. Cost is $25 if you register today (November 14th), or $30 day of the race ($10 for kids fun run today, $12 tomorrow). Cost includes a free t-shirt, $2 donation to Camp JADA, and a huge post race brunch provided by Native Sun Natural Foods Market (YUM!). To register visit 1st Place Sports Online or call 731-3676.

After the race, check out the GRAND OPENING of the Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens off of Monument Road in East Arlington. The 120 acres of natural preserve that hosts a wide variety of flora and fauna will be open to the public from 10am-4pm and offers live music, trail tours led by naturalists, storytelling by a local historian, woodcarvers, kids’ activities and a Florida-friendly plant sale.

Of course, we have to be Downtown in front of City Hall from NOON - 4PM (Saturday 11/15) to protest the passing of Amendment 2 against gay marriage. Which means we have to go shopping TONIGHT for new outfits!

Then on Sunday, there's just one thing to do....JAGS GAME!!!! Of course. The Jacksonville Jaguars will take on the Tennessee Titans at 4:15PM, we will start drinking at noon.

Have a fantastic weekend!!
