You may remember a few months ago Pastor David Tarkington made national news by returning a check for over $600,000 from a lottery winner. The church didn't like the "tainted" money. I guess a "tainted" pastor is alright! Ryan Rouse, the church's Pastor of Youth was arrested early December for shoplifting at a local Walmart. He chose not to inform the church, David Tarkington, or even his wife. The church found out when a member saw the notice in the local paper. Ryan Rouse has pleaded no contest to the charge which seems to have satisfied the church. He will still be allowed to pastor the young impressionable minds of First Baptist Church. Seems tainted money leaves a more bitter taste than a tainted pastor."

Doesnt suprise me one bit. Most churches follow the rule: 'Do what I say, not as I do.'
