Hovan Mediterranean Gourmet - Review

We apologize for taking so long to post this but we finally found the pictures from two weeks ago when we had our staff meeting at the Hovan Mediterranean Gourmet in 5 Points (2005 Park Street). We really had a great time. Hovan has perfect outdoor seating right in the middle of all the action in 5 Points and they have a great happy hour with 2-4-1 beer; Domestics for $2.50 and Imports for $3.50. THATS $1.25 PER MICH ULTRA!!

The group ordered the basics, falafel, kibbeh, hummus with meat, fatoosh and Mediterranean salads. It was all excellent and the prices were pretty spot on. Take a look at all the delicious food....

I totally agree about the grape leaves, thats why we didnt order any. My family is from Syria so I know good grape leaf rolls. Everything else was quite good though.

I've always had good food in that place.

Oooh - Hovan is ALWAYS good. Maybe someone can have a talk with them about the grape leaves thing, but their hummus and falafel are above par, imho.

The best Hummus and Tabolli ever. Their evening menu is great. Ask about the specials because they are always yummy. 2 for 1 on beer is a bargin.

We were there last friday and the food was excellent. I had the chicken shish-tawook, rice, and grilled veggies.

There was also a really cool band playing outside. In addition to the standard bass, electric guitar & drumset, they had TWO Moog synthesizers and a theremin!

Bring back the live music! The Acid Magic Band rocked!
