American Collectors

There is an upcoming documentary called American Collectors that chronicles the plight of several obsessive hoarders and their masses of junk that they have accumulated in their homes for years. We can't wait to watch the madness.

Here's a cool tidbit about the film.....when American Collectors was sneak-peeked at the Antique Purse Society Convention in San Francisco, a collector recognized a vintage purse in the film considered to be the world's largest beaded purse, covered in one million beads, and appraised at $250,000 back in 1928. Until the bag was recognized in the film, the collector had no idea what she had. She plans to give it to the Smithsonian. The purse collection doesn't show up in this awesome trailer though, so you'll have to go see or rent the film whenever it comes out.
