Spotted

A few Jacksonville Confidential staff members and owners of Compound Graphics were spotted by Gordon Ramsay in Miami. He stopped Joe(y), Julio, Ashley and Anthony on Washington Avenue in South Beach in front of Mansion over the weekend. He just wanted to say how much he loves the Jacksonville Confidential restaurant reviews and told us to keep up the good work! Thanks Gordon, we can't wait for the new seasons of Kitchen Nightmares (now casting) and Hell's Kitchen (STARTS TOMORROW 6/21). Check out the pics and a quick video...

I love "Kitchen Nightmares" so hard, although I prefer the BBC version because Ramsey can really let the profanity fly.

Restaurant reviews? What did he think of the one you guys did on Kickbacks and their fine cuisine? And your so far up Orsay's ass you can not be objective there. Your reviews are based on who will comp your food. The "staff" at JC is as qualified to review restaurants as I am to perform heart surgery.

Thanks so much for reading the blog so regularly.

You have to be watched. Your a danger to hardworking business people. I await the day your "staff" is served with a long overdue suit.

The Editor said...

Oooh, me too. Pinstripe please.

Oh I so love this blog and hope that the hater will be a little more objective to JC's reviews. I mean if the truth hurts... Keep reporting JC!

This foolish hater continues to make an ass of himself by badmouthing two of the finest establishments in the city/state in Kickbacks and Orsay. Kickbacks cuisine is the best value oriented food anywhere and Orsay has the finest food anywhere. Period.

There are lots of other blogs to read...go away, do something constructive with your life and shut your effing pie hole, your embarrassing yourself.

A restaurant review is done without the knowledge of the restaurant being reviewed and the reviewer is presented with a check at meal's conclusion. If it is comped, the review is compromised as it is difficult to be objective when your meal has been paid for. If the restaurant knows that a review is being done, they will give you a level of service and food presentation/quailty that other guests do not. So it should be obvious that these are not reviews but rather a bunch of friends who get together and eat out at restaurants that have friends who work there or will comp the food. These are not reviews but rather a love fest of free meals.

I remember getting a free taste of all of Orsays desserts at the soft opening if thats what you are referring to as a "love of free food". Check your sources. The majority of my reviews are done without the knowledge of the restaurant or any of its employees.

And again, thank you so much for constantly reading Jacksonville Confidential. Please comment again soon.

Since you admitted it, which "review" is not in that majority? You can not have it both ways. And who would be stupid enough to believe that Gordon Ramsay "spotted" you in a crowd? and then stopped you to comment on your great reviews? He must have remembered your faces from the cover of People magazine. It's laughable.

The Editor said...

Exactly, DUH! Maybe you're not as retarded as people think.

The Editor said...

Oh, and thanks again for reading Jacksonville Confidential, please come back often.

Anonymous, are you an 80 year old woman with no sense of humor or sarcasm? I'm sorry but, we don't claim to be CNN, and again, THANKS FOR BEING AN AVID READER! Keep in mind, this is a blog. Not on your tv, and not forced on you. We love that you love to read our blog! YAY!

Anonymous said...

Looks like someone has been caught stretching the truth and has resorted to school age name calling. Retarded? Wow! that hurts! And do not worry my friend, I will continue to watch your site.

Anonymous said...

Thanks for reading RETARD!

Anonymous said...

Ouch again!

Here is one for you Jason, if you are not a whore for free food (and a subsequent favorable "review") then scan and produce a reciept for your brunch at Orsay JC "reviewed" and post it online. Thanks so much.

Anonymous said...

Hi. I'm an anonymous coward

The Editor said...

Make me, "Anonymous".

Anonymous said...

Said the anonymous coward, probably a JC "staff" member. Post the reciept guys!

We'll have to get with our Accountants and get back to you, please leave a message. BEEEEEEP!

Thanks so very much for reading Jacksonville Confidential!

I think Anonymous is more qualfied to perform heart or brain surgery than the editoral staff at JC to review restaurants. The give good reviews when the meal is comp and bad reviews when they have to dig out their credit cards. The food at Orsay is good but certainly not the best restaurant food in Jacksonville. Same menu every week. BTW: I would recommend that the editorial staff (particularly the Editor-in-Chief) stop reviewing restaurants and instead go on a diet. He is looks like a muffin top!

Anonymous said...

The Editor is incorrect. The brunch meal at Orsay was comp for everyone from JC. I know for sure that happened!!!!

Anonymous said...

The Editor is a hottie!

The Editor said...

Awww! Thanks. And "Top of the Muffin TO YOU!"

Thanks for reading Jacksonville Confidential

Anonymous said...

I would like to meet the person who thinks the Editor, Muffin Top, is a "hottie". Does that person's first name begin with a "J"?

Anonymous said...

His name is jason Issac. He is also the so called "Editor" and he is his biggest fan.

The Editor said...

Actually my Mom is followed by a few Aunts and then, of course, all of my adoring fans. LOL. Also, you obviously have no clue what youre talking about because my name is NOT Jason Issac, but nice try.

I wonder why you hide behind this site with no indication anywhere as to who you are, you guys trash everyone else but remain anonymous, I can stay anonymous but I do not post blogs trashing people as you do, so quit hiding, put your name up. I suspect you are frightened by the prospect of doing so and will not. Most all other sites have a list of who runs them.

The Editor said...

One of these sites is not like the others.

Anonymous said...

So the bottom is you do not want to put your name behind the crap you spew out, correct?

The Editor said...

No, you are the bottom.

Anonymous said...

What does that mean? Bottom? Get your nose out of the popper bottle and make an intelligent statement. Am i correct? You wish to remain anonymous to the readers of the very site you create and run? Perhaps it should be renamed Jacksonville Anonymous. If I created a website read by many people a day i would not be ashamed to put my name on it. Its your own work, website and words, put your name on it.
