Tonight is the last night to catch It Might Get Loud at the 5 Points Theatre. This film combines bios of famous guitarists Jimmy Page (of Led Zeppelin), The Edge (of U2) and Jack White (of the White Stripes) with a jam session of the three. It shows at 7 & 9 pm. Check out the trailer....
Be sure to check out the first 5 Points Horror Fest hosted by the venue. It will run from October 23rd to the 30th, and features a wide mix of films, from true classics (like the original 1931 Frankenstein) to documentaries (Zombie Girl) to new independent horror films (Dead Snow and Pontypool).
The theater is also hosting the upcoming Latino Film Festival which includes the film Crude, an acclaimed documentary that covers a historic class action lawsuit between citizens of Ecuador and Chevron over years of alleged pollution. This film will open the festival and includes attendance by the Director. It can also be seen October 20th to 22nd at 7 and 9 pm. Check out the trailer....
Due to overwhelming demand, the theater will mainly be showing University of Florida football for the rest of the season. GO GATORS!
