Jax Children's Chorus Charity Poker

The Board of Directors of the Jacksonville Children's Chorus is hosting a Charity Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament. The benefit will take place on Friday, October 1 at 6:00 p.m. at The Poker Room at the Orange Park Kennel Club, 455 Park Avenue. Registration and a poker lesson will be held at 6:00 p.m. with the tournament beginning at 7:00 p.m.

"What is exciting about this charity event is that we have limited the maximum number of players to 150. The chances of winning the GRAND PRIZE of $1500, Trophies, Cash Payouts, and other prizes to Top Winners is quite good." said Darren Dailey, Artistic and Executive Director of The Jacksonville Children's Chorus.

Proceeds from the event will be used to fund the ensemble's music education programs. Tournament "buy-in" is $125 and includes ALL beer, wine, soda and hors d'oeuvres.  A "watcher" ticket is also available for those who do not wish to play in the tournament but want to partake in the food and drink.  Cost is $30 if purchased with a "buy-in" ticket; $50 without. Call 904-353-1636 or visit the Jacksonville Children’s Chorus Website to purchase tickets.

The mission of the Jacksonville Children's Chorus is to provide a high-quality choral music education for children of diverse backgrounds, fostering teamwork, self-discipline, accomplishment and pride while filling an important cultural need in the community and sharing the beauty of the choral art form through artistically excellent performances.

Thanks for the heads up Darren.
