Helium Shortage

Everyone be calm, DON'T PANIC! According to NPR there is a Helium Shortage going on right now causing a spike in prices. We started to get all nervous and worried when Robin told us that he had just heard it on the radio.

Luckily, after some quick research we found out that the shortage will NOT affect the balloons in tomorrows Thanksgiving Day Parade. Whew! (wiping the sweat from our brows). Thanksgiving wouldn't exist with out those larger than life characters like Garfield, Woody Wood Pecker, The Pink Panther, and the list goes on.

Unfortunately for smaller balloon operators around the country, the outlook doesn't look so good, you guys may want to wait if you were planning a Super Sweet 16 with a mylar balloon theme.

This is so ridiculous! This is a supply and demand tactic from large medical gas companies to take advantage of their customers! No different then the fuel prices! There is plenty of helium to go around without raise prices and forcing small businesses to close their doors. Come on this is America! Stop purchasing helium from the large medical gas companies and you will see the prices go down. We are a family owned and operated business for over 25 years and we can beat their prices by $40.00 a cylinder! We currently service Missouri, Illinois, Florida and Nebraska. Call for pricing at 1-800-347-4614 or visit our website at www.airbornehelium.net.
