AJ's Riverside Cafe BBQ on Park Street

Nearly legendary "St. Louis BBQ" joint AJ's Riverside Cafe has moved from it's May Street location to the constantly vacated building that Hot Rods, Sharx Wings, and Skips Cafe most recently occupied. For the first time ever we are pretty excited to see new ownership of the building at 630 Park Street right next to Gay Bear Bar 616. For years AJ's has been hosting and participating in local Jacksonville events, most notably "Dancing in the Streets" and weekly "Block Parties", and we welcome the addition with open arms. Next stop, a review in the next few weeks.

Will this be your staff doing the review or someone else? I'm quite interested in seeing how this will come about as you have said in the past,"We won't be visiting the establishment because we swore that we would never ever ever set foot in that building again after having the worst staff meeting EVER at Hot Rods."

Yeah, but AJ's BBQ is supposed to be awesome. BBQ will drown out the smell and stuff, I think. Maybe we'll do a drive by, like we'd do for Jenkins.

Another opportunity for free food for the Jacksonville COnfidential "staff".

When I first saw the sign, I was disappointed in the name. Why could they not have a more creative name?
AJ's is already the name of a bar on Atlantic Blvd.
At any rate, I wish success for this place.

AJ's serves the BBQ at the Riverside Arts (?) Market on Saturday. If you have tasted that BBQ it is the same as at AJ's Riverside Cafe.

AJ's has some pretty good food and the people that work there are very friendly. Hope they are successful in that location.
