There’s an interesting new website called I Write Like that analyzes your writing style and then determines which famous author your prose emulates. All you have to do is paste a few paragraphs that exemplify your writing in to the websites algorithm based search engine and it will spit out the novelist whom you most resemble. Jason tried it out with several of his posts from this blog and he received two, quite different, results. The first and second were Daniel Defoe of Robinson Carusoe fame (some call him one of the founders of the English novel), which he was pretty stoked about, but the third submission garnered Stephenie Meyer from the Twilight books, he was a little bummed until he remembered how freaking wealthy she’s become from the series. Try it out for yourself.
