83rd Academy Award Winners

Unless you are a total cinematard or live under a rock you are aware that the 83rd Academy Awards were telecast last night and they were, in a word, LAME. As adorable as both Anne Hathaway and James Franco are they are not host material and provided for an awkward evening of forced jokes, long silences, and strange musical numbers. The awards themselves proved to be expected, with ”The Kings Speech” taking home the Best Picture, Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for Colin Firth, Director, and Screenplay Oscars. ”The Social Network” and ”Inception” also dominated.
