Reader Comments

We have received a response to our Vienna Garden Restaurant post from yesterday regarding the "inexperienced bartender" from the INEXPERIENCED BARTENDER. Here's what the comment said -

"Many folks have come through the Vienna Garden bar and enjoyed great beer, radical pretzels, interesting German music, and our new, thumpin' jukebox. Many folks have left the bar smiling, and expressing their thanks for a good time. I'm awfully sorry that someone walked out the door under the impression that their bartender was a "@%*#*"-- assuming that stands for a 5-letter bad word. My good tips and repeat patrons indicate otherwise.

Regarding the original posting: It's unclear to me how your complaints about the restaurant relate at all to the building's former life as a convenience store. Cheap shot, or architectural elitism? Who can say."

As far as our original post stating the establishment was once used as a convenient store, we were only stating fact to show that we don't believe that the menu prices correlate with the area at this time. We try to be neutral and encourage new small business in Jacksonville. Some our information came from actual staff members who decided to patronize the business and others were from readers. We encourage all comments and thank you for yours.
